The Runway is East/West oriented (09/27) and the grass is kept in fantastic shape. It is truly a pleasure to fly in and out of Flemming Field. The runway is surveyed at 2900 feet in length; however the actual useful length is more like 3200 feet. The takeoff and landing distances of the airplanes we fly (at training weights) allows for a good margin of safety with performance. The width is 100 feet with mostly farming fields along either side.
